Ingredients (makes 5 dozen cookies):

  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Directions:

  • Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a bowl.  Beat butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until creamy.  Add eggs one at a time
  • Gradually beat in flour. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by tbsp. onto an ungreased baking sheet.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 9-11 minutes until golden brown.
  • Let set two minutes, then cool on a cooling rack.
